The digital realm of art is a world that has always interested me. With the addition of landscapes and video games, I wanted to create a piece that combined all of them. With the digital and more ‘traditional’ medium of art working together in symbiosis, this piece blurs the lines between the truth of video games and reality. The beautiful landscape is similar to the natural world we experience however is combined with a creative mind that gives the ‘Skyrim’ landscape it’s ethereal feel and shows similarities to the romantic landscapes painted by Turner and Constable. My take on this landscape opens up conversations surrounding the digital age we are living in as well as the controversy’s surrounding the video game industry and it’s place within the world of art.
