Morphing, merging, and fusing overlaid images is the prime focus of my creative practice. Video is my mixed-medium of choice as I can digitally layer and manipulate images to create infinitely varying textures, movement, and colour combinations in my outcomes. My practice aims to create hallucinogenic and hypnotic hyper-visuals through duplicated imagery and vivid intensified colours, alluding to the counterculture of psychedelia. My work seeks to make decisions around what images work best collaged and combined together, aiming to evoke oneiric, bodily and sensorial pleasures for the viewer. My video works focus on a simple movement or gesture that (most of the time) has nothing to do with narrative but rather is about myself making connections with people and my surroundings. This extends into what I want the viewer to experience from my artwork, immersing them in the landscapes or patterns I create.
