My practice involves photography, installation and performance to expose the everyday and manipulate the private\public aspects of these experiences. My work takes place through several different physical vessels that I use to best explore the ordinary, humorous, and potentially sinister confessions of private life. I have also become increasingly interested in the way people behave upon my request to empty their bag taking note of different peoples approaches and reactions. In some cases the contents of bags reveal a curated portrait of their owner and others display a more candid insight into the individual. But what is really key is the encounter that this exchange creates that really allows me to delve into someone’s life.
