My work is an enquiry into the status of plants, particularly focusing on endangered plants and weeds. Concepts such as the Anthropocene and ecology also are part of the work. My material enquiry is parallel to the subject as I am working with recycled, reusable materials which comment on themes such as consumption, waste and human activity. The resilience of certain weeds and how they can act as a metaphor for resistance is an aspect of the work I want to focus on. The work started as discrete gestures and is now becoming more intrusive and invasive. My work has been both independent and collaborative in nature, the research has been important to the work so this has enabled it to be shared
